The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Lt. Col Agbu Kefas (rtd), has notified the general public that he should from henceforth be addressed as Dr Agbu Kefas.
In a Press Release duly signed by the , Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor, Yusuf Sanda, the governor noted that the official information ended the understanding and confusion regarding the proper title while addressing the Executive Governor.
It also noted that the official nomenclature should be used strictly in all correspondences.
“The general public is officially informed that, hence forth His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State should be known and addressed as Dr Agbu Kefas for protocol and other engagement
“This press release has ended the understanding or confusion regarding the proper title while addressing the Executive Governor”. The statement reads in part.
Recalled that the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas had hit the ground running shortly after his inauguration as the Executive Governor of Taraba State on May, 29 2023 .
On stepping into the most exhauted office in the state, the governor immediately swung into action by making four significant appointments in the Government House.
He appointed Yusuf Sanda as the new Chief Press Secretary and Yusuf Ubandoma as the Chief Protocol Officer respectively.
The Governor also approved the appointments of Chief Barr,G.T Kataps as The New Secretary to The Government of the State (SSG) as well as Dr Jeji William, Mni as the Chief of Staff to the Taraba State Government House.
At the Local Government level, the governor had dissolved all the Caretaker Committee Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Councils in the State.
He directed all the Caretaker Committee Chairmen to hand over all government property in their possession to the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) of their respective Councils with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, as the governor begun work, many Tarabans have continue to expressed hope that he would take the state off the mess of the previous administration led by former governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
