The Chairman Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Taraba state Chapter, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, has appealed to Taraba youths to shun the proposed nationwide for peaceful coexistence of the State.

He made the disclosure during an interview with NewsDirect in Jalingo yesterday while speaking on the achievements of Governor Agbu Kefas.

Hon. Hassan who is also the Executive  Chairman of Jalingo Local Government council said, “what I know is that everybody has a right to protest against any misgivings to express his grievances over an issue.

“But I think we have almost everything in Taraba state and don’t have any reason whatsoever to partake in that protest because our Governor has given us what so much we desire prompt payment of salary, gratuity payment which has been paid last in 2011 the Governor is paying us now.”

He also mentioned some of the notable achievements of the Governor to include economic revitalisation, infrastructural development, agricultural advancement, social welfare programs, and education, among others.

The Chairman  stressed that Kefas has introduced policies that have revitalised local businesses, attracted new investments, and diversified the economy that is attracted to both local and foreign investors.

“The state has seen extensive infrastructure improvements, including the construction and renovation of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities.

“The Governor’s commitment to education is evident in the launch of free education programs and reforms aimed at providing quality education.

“I think our people should rethink to avoid any protest in Taraba state particularly Jalingo and let me equally assure you that our security agencies have also geared up their personnel to meet with the challenges.”
