The Chairman of Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Friday Mpbakpone Okpe has rolled out a week-long project commissioning programme, assuring that his administration will not leave any project uncompleted at the end of his first tenure.
Hon. Okpe stated this while commissioning a Corpers lodge at Nonwa, in Tai Local Government Area of the State.
According to him, his administration has planned to build Corpers lodge in virtually every community of the LGA, calling on the people to support his administration to achieve its set objectives..
The Chairman said after the Nonwa commissioning, Bunu and Protem will take their turn and other landmark projects of his administration will be further inaugúrated.
Okpe specially pointed out that the Tai Legislative Assembly project embarked upon by his administration, will be ready for inaugúration soon.
He equally said that standard market projects have been sited at various communities in the area, such as, Korokoro, Gbogo, among others and that they are at different stages of completion, noting that the markets will be commissioned before the end of his first tenure.
Other programmes embarked upon by his administration, he said, include medical outreach, provision of palliatives, procurement of transformers, grading of roads, among others.
The Tai Council Chairman thanked youths of the area for not disrupting work at the project sites with unnecessary demands and urged them to sustain the tempo.
He however warned detractors of his government, who he said are always looking for false evidence against him to desist from such acts and instead join hands with his Government to move Tai Local Government Area forward.
