Surveyor General of the Federal, Adeniran bows out as Adebomehin takes over

Having attained the retirement age of 60, the Surveyor General of the Federation (SGoF), Surv. Samuel Taiwo has handed over the reign of leadership of the Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGoF) to Surv. Abuduganiyu Adebomehin.  Surv. Adebomehin.

In a statement made to NewsDirect on Wednesday by OSGOF’s Head Press and Public Relations, Mr Abu Michael disclosed that Adebomehin is the Director, Department of Internal Boundary.

In his handing over speech, the immediate past SGoF, Surv. Taiwo said government run in perpetuity and that now that he ought to bow out there was the need for him to handover the reign of leadership to the most senior Director in fulfillment of the provisions of extant rules.

He appealed to the Federal Government to appoint substantive SGoF from OSGoF for sustainability and genuine progress while thanking members of the management and other staff of the Office for their support. He urged them to extend same support to his predecessor noting the need for members of management and staff to work as a team for achievement of mandate of the Office.

While taking over, Surv. Adebomehin pledged to ensure continuous assessment of the performance of various departments and units in order to make necessary readjustment that would enable the Office serve the Government and the country better.

He commended the leadership of the immediate past SGoF and pledged to consolidate on the gains of the previous leadership. He pledged to carry everyone along and maintain an open-door policy. He then thanked his predecessor for his wealth of wisdom which he has displayed so far wishing him better life after his meritorious service to the country.

Surv. Adebomehin who hails from Lagos State was born on December 6, 1966 and has over 30 years of work experience as a surveyor. He possesses B.Sc in Surveying from the University of Lagos, Akoka; Post Graduate Diploma in Photogrammetry and participated in various international and local trainings and studies in the fields of Surveying and Geo-Informatics.
