Super Falcons leave Nigeria for Japan friendly in Kobe

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have arrived in Kobe, Japan, ahead of their friendly against the Nadeshiko.

The friendly is billed for Noevir Stadium, Kobe, on Thursday.

It will be the fourth meeting between both teams.

The Super Falcons prevailed 1-0 in the first-ever encounter between both teams in 2004.

Vera Okolo scored the decisive goal in the Athens Olympics football event at the Karaiskakis Stadium, Piraeus, on August 14, 2004.

Two back-to-back friendlies in 2013 were won 2-0 each by Nadeshiko.

Both teams will use the friendly to prepare for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
