Sule flags off sale of fertilizer to farmers, warns saboteurs
Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule has flagged off the sales of fertilizer for 2024 Dry season farming in Lafia, the state capital.
The Governor at the flag-off also warned saboteurs to refrain from hindering the farm products from getting to the farmers who need it.
He directed security operatives in the state to monitor the distribution.
On his part, the state commissioner of Agriculture and water resources Alhaji Umar Dan Akano commended Governor Sule for prioritising agriculture in the state, adding that it will enhance food production in the state.
Akano however assured that modalities have been put in place by the ministry towards ensuring that the product will reach the rightful dry season farmers, saying that a committee has so far been constituted across the 13 LGCs and Development Areas of the state.
“We sincerely want to thank you once again for creating a conducive atmosphere especially in the area of maintaining peace in the state for farming activities to strive,” Akano added.
