SUBEB distributes materials to primary, junior secondary schools in Cross River

The Cross River State Universal Basic Education Commission Board (CR-SUBEB) said it has procured 9,300 chairs and tables for distribution to Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in the state.

Executive Chairman of the board, Dr Stephen Odey, disclosed this on Saturday in Calabar while addressing journalists and other stakeholders.

He said that the gesture was part of the state government’s effort to improving the teaching and learning condition of pupils.

“The Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board is set to distribute 4,650 plastic tables and 4,650 chairs to public Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in the State.

“These tables and chairs procured through the UBE/Cross River SUBEB 2020 Intervention fund and are set to be distributed to schools across the three senatorial zones in the state,” he said.

He maintained that the present administration in the state would continue to accord top priority to conducive teaching and learning in schools.

He appealed to teachers to complement the state government’s effort by protecting classroom facilities against theft and vandalism in the interest of the pupils.
