Speaker names Faleke Chairman of South-West caucus, Ajilesoro as Secretary

The Speaker of the House of Representatives; Rt.Hon Tajudeen Abass has inaugurated the South-West caucus for the 10th assembly.

The Speaker named Hon. James Faleke as the Chairman of the South-West caucus and Hon. Abimbola Ajilesoro as the secretary of the caucus in the House of Representatives.

Reacting to the news of his appointment as Secretary, Hon. Ajilesoro welcomed the appointment.

He noted that, “It is an edifying appointment which I take with all pleasure and willing to serve with full capacity.”

Ajilesoro is the lawmaker representing Ife Federal constituency from Osun State. He is a returning house member who was first elected in 2019 after winning in a landslide.

Ajilesoro had in his second term bid surmounted over hurdles pre-election and post-election to remain victorious.

The Osun State Election Tribunal had in September 2023, dismissed the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its House of Representatives candidate in Ife Federal Constituency.
