SkyNet Express to boost e-commerce, employment in Ekiti — CEO

Mr Tayo Ogundare, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Skynet Worldwide Express,  says its Ekiti office will boost e-commerce and provide employment opportunities for the residents.

Ogundare stated this at the Inauguration of the Ekiti branch of the company along Ajilosun area in Ado-Ekiti, in the state capital.

The company is opening its branch in the state in partnership with Karen-Happucha Global Services Limited.

Ogundare said the new branch was in furtherance of the firm’s avowed global growth strategy and the quest for excellent customer service.

He said the office when fully functional would provide veritable platform for online marketing, ordering and delivery of packages to flourish, especially among the youth populace.

Ogundare said that no fewer than 30 more branches would be opened across the country in the next six months in the bid to improve and bring logistic services to doorsteps of Nigerians.

According to him, it is expected that the new offices will provide over 400 direct and indirect jobs to Nigerians.

Ogundare said the branch in Ekiti, which is coming at the inception of a new administration in the state, underscores the growing economic importance of Ekiti and the friendly environment that welcomes investors.

He said its inauguration was meant to bring the excellent service offerings of the firm to the good people of Ekiti.

The SkyNet boss said that the opportunities for future growth is endless for the people of the state with commissioning of a new cargo airport.

“The strategy is to position SkyNet Worldwide Express as the first choice and customer friendly company with capability to offer specialised and tailor-made services to highly discerning Nigerian customers that have suffered from failed and amateurish logistics service for too long.

“With the SkyNet Worldwide Express office in Ajilosun, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti people can now seamlessly send their document and parcels to any location in Nigeria and over 180 countries in the world.

“So also, with our expertise in export of foods, customers with families and friends in USA, Canada, UK and Europe can easily send food items to them at pocket friendly price.

“We also render E-commerce / Shop and ship service for international shoppers from China, USA and UK.

“Companies and organisations that source their raw materials and equipment from overseas can also take advantage of our freight forwarding service to move their urgently needed materials and equipment to Nigeria.

“We have the capability to handle repair and return of faulty items,” he said.

The Chief Executive Officer, Karen-Happucha Global Services Limited, Mrs Tolulope Akinyemi,  in her remarks said the company was committed to safety and speed delivery of packages across the country.

She disclosed that her company is the first National Networking Participant commissioned in Nigeria for SkyNet Worldwide Express.

“We offer express pick up and delivery services, both domestic and International, we are into haulage and ware housing, air and sea freight services and clearing. we as well offer e-commerce for online purchase and delivery,” she said.

The major highlight of the event was the cutting of the tape inaugurating the SkyNet delivery motorcycles and the office accommodation.

The spiritual dedication of the branch was performed by Pastor Sunday Oluwadare, the General Overseer, Heritage Glorious Prayer Intercessory Ministry.
