Senior Electricity workers hail Ministers on reinstatement of President Okoronkwo in TCN


The Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC) workers have hailed the Minister of Power,Eng Saleh Mamman and the Minister of Labour and Productivity Dr Chris Ngige for approving the reinstatement of the President,Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC) Engr. Dr. Okonkwo back as a staff of the TCN.

in a press statement on behalf of the General Secretary SSAEAC disclosed that this was approved by the Ministers on completion of thorough investigation of the allegations used for his purported sack by the immediate past Managing Director, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). “We are glad that after due investigation and review of our petitions, the Honourable Ministers of Labour and Power, unanimously approved the reinstatement of Engr. Dr. Okonkwo to his position in TCN, with full payment of his entitlements. This was conveyed by another letter dated 25th September 2020, ref: TCN/MD/CEO/01/8.0/Vol. 2/584/2020,” he said.
Recall the illegal, malice and impunity- driven action of premature retirement of our President General, Engr. Dr. Chris Okonkwo (DBA, FNSE), from the services of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), vide a letter dated 24th April 2020, by the former MD TCN, Usman Gur Mohammed.

“We also appreciate the President and NAC members of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), National Executive Council (SSAEAC), teeming SSAEAC members and sympathizers, for standing firm in pursuit of justice in the intervening 5 months”.
