Senate Deputy Leader, Ashiru facilitates boreholes to constituents

The Deputy Leader of the Senate, Architect Oyelola Yisa Ashiru has commenced a solar-powered borehole drilling project in 18 rural communities within Kwara South senatorial district, enhancing water accessibility and quality of life.

In message accessed on his official social media handle, the Senator representing Kwara South senatorial district said engineers from Lower Niger River Basin have conducted site inspections, possession, geophysical surveys, and commenced drilling in eighteen communities which include; Oba,Isanlu-Isin, Oke-Onigbin,Olla, Odore,Owode Alla, Araromi, Ora Aiyegbaju, Imode,Iloffa,Ijomu Oro,Irebode Oro, Oke Oyan, Ora, Akingbasa, Aganju Essa, Dapson Area and Oritamerin.

According to Ashiru, major markets will also benefit, improving water supply and sanitation. This project aims to provide clean water affordably, elevating rural communities’ living standards.
