Senate Deputy Leader, Ashiru embarks on one week medical outreach

Barely a month after over 5,000 youths applied for the Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru ICT and Digital Empowerment program for Kwara South residents, the Deputy Leader of the Senate is embarking on another week long free medical outreach where he would be distributing wheel chairs to People Living With Disabilities, PLWDs, drawn from across the seven local government areas.
Senator Ashiru would also distribute medical equipment and drugs to five health centres in Iloofa, Isanlu Isin, Ganmo, Owode market and Moremi health centre, to wrap up the health intervention on 31st August, 2024 at Ganmo, Ifelodun local government area.
According to the statement issued, this medical intervention is aimed at improving and enhancing the well-being as well as saving lives in his constituency.
The programme which commences on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 across the Kwara South Senatorial district with Geriatrics Training on how to manage health of aged people in Offa/Ifelodun/Oyun Federal Constituency at OMDA Hall, Offa will be followed by Medical Outreach in Oke-onigbin, Isin local government on Wednesday where health practitioners would carry out check-up, treat patients and distribute free drugs.
On Thursday, Geriatrics Training would also be held at Bigate Hotel, Omuaran for Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero Federal Constituency.
This Medical intervention would continue at Iloofa Cottage Hospital in Oke-ero local government on Friday, August 30, where residents of Iloofa and its environs are expected to benefit from the medical outreach.
