Sen. Kashamu is most welcome to Mega Party in Ogun-Alhaji Adesina

Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

Chairman of Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN) Ogun State, Alhaji Moshood Adesina said the party was very pleasing to welcome the governorship candidate of PDP in the last election in the state, Sen Buruji Kashamu to the party describing it as big boost to reposition the Mega Party in Ogun State and the country at large.

Alhaji Moshood Adesina stated this in a release made available to our Correspondent.

He described Sen Buruji Kashamu as no doubt a big fish in the political arena of the state and of course a very resourceful politician in the country whose presence in any party must be highly appreciated because of the former lawmaker’s undying love for the masses.

Adesina said “though Senator Buruji might have for now decided not to make his love for Mega Party a matter of public discourse but because we appreciate his worth and genuine commitment to further strengthen the party in the state, we must let him know that we heartily welcome him into our party and we are ready to work with him for the betterment of the people of Ogun state.

“We appreciate some of the moves being made by the Senator to further strengthen Mega Party and prepare it for the challenges ahead such as the meeting held with the Southwest leaders of the party in Lagos last recently and another one at Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North local government area of the state.

“I have also reliably gathered how the former PDP Senator have of recent released huge amount of money for purchase of new Mega Party registers and membership cards while a token of N2000 is also being given to mobilise new members into the party. We really salute your magnanimity and efforts to make Mega Party to be ahead of other opposition parties in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.

“We are more than happy to have someone of your political standing in our midst and we have that assurance that it will be to the greatness of our party and dear Gateway state”.

However, efforts to speak with Sen Buruji Kashamu proved abortive as repeated calls to his Spokesman Austin Oniyokor was not picked while textmessages sent were also not replied as at the time of filing this report.
