Security guards docked for alleged negligent conduct

Two security guards: were on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for alleged negligent conduct.

The police charged Oludare Salako, 67 and Sunday Isan, 28, with neglect to prevent felony.

The Prosecution Counsel, Mr Philip Amusan. told the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offence on Nov. 25, 2022, at about 1 a.m, behind Queens College, Apata area, Ibadan.

Amusan alleged that the defendents while working as security guards in the Akpata area, willfully allowed some hoodlums to attack and rob members of the community.

He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 515 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendants however pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. A Akande,  admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N100, 000 each and one surety each in like sum.
