Second term: Abiodun seeks support of people of Ewekoro LG

… inaugurates lockup shops, Itori township road

Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday sought for the support of the people of Ewekoro local government for his re-election bid saying that the opportunity if given would allow him to build on the track record of good governance synonymous with the state since assuming office three and half years ago.

Gov Abiodun equally assured the people of the State that his administration would continue to be prudent in its spending, saying his government would not squander the resources of the State on projects that would not add value to the people.

The governor disclosed this while addressing thousands of residents of the local government who had come out to welcome the governor and his campaign team to the local government.

In the entourage of the governor were his deputy, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor’s wife, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, the Senator representing Lagos West and Ogun West senatorial candidate for the forthcoming elections, Sen Adeola Olamilekan fondly called Yayi, Sen Lekan Mustapha as well as Alhaji Salis Shuaib, Ogun Central senatorial candidate among others.

Abiodun, as part of activities of the campaign tour commissioned the newly constructed Itori township road and ultra modern lockup shops at the area.

The campaign trained had a brief stopover at Obada and Papalanto where the governor addressed teeming supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at Itori, Abiodun urged the people of the State to go all out and obtain their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) and ensure that they participate in the forthcoming election.

The governor who described his administration as a promise keeping government called on the people to vote for all the candidates of the party in the election.

“Our administration is a promise keeping government. We have kept faith with the people and we assure you that as we continue, we will not let you down.

“We have commissioned ultra modern lockup shops, we have commissioned Itori township road. We shall continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people.

“I have promised to aways work for the people and I shall keep my promise.

“Oke Mosan (governor’s office) is not a beer parlour, we are not going to squander your resources on projects that will not add value to the people. We are not going to waste your resources on irrelevant things.”
