Sanwo-Olu unveils Red Line Flyover in Mushin

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday has commissioned the Mushin Flyover, the last of five overpasses built along the Red Line Rail corridor.

The flyover is expected to relieve traffic and congestion in the area and eliminate pedestrian and vehicular interference on the rail tracks.

Sanwo-Olu stated that the infrastructure has changed the face of public transportation in the state and has brought economic value to the area.

He also disclosed that members of the host communities benefited from the project construction and that engineering students were given an internship opportunity to work on the project.

The Governor commended Mushin and Onipanu residents for supporting the development and charged them to take ownership of the infrastructure and protect it from deliberate destruction.

The Managing Director of LAMATA, Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, said that the state government had fully compensated owners of buildings affected by the project.
