Sanwo-Olu mourns Ifeanyi Ubah, describes death as shocking loss

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, describing it as a “shocking and great loss” to Nigeria, Anambra, and Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu praised Ubah as an astute businessman and politician who contributed significantly to nation-building during his time in the Senate.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, on Saturday, Sanwo-Olu said, “The governor commiserates with the President of the Senate, Dr. Godswill Akpabio, all distinguished Senators, and the entire National Assembly, as well as the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, over the unfortunate demise of Senator Ubah.”

Sanwo-Olu also extended his condolences to Ubah’s immediate family, friends, colleagues, and associates, particularly the people of Anambra South, saying, “He prays for the repose of the soul of the dead and for God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
