Sanwo-Olu celebrates Ajomale’s 80th birthday, hails political legacy

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extended heartfelt congratulations to former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Henry Ajomale, as he celebrates his 80th birthday.

The governor praised Ajomale’s remarkable career in politics, depicting him as a seasoned leader who has profoundly impacted governance in the state and beyond for over four decades.

In a statement issued Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu described Ajomale as an accomplished lawyer and a distinguished business mogul, stating, “Otunba Ajomale has made a mark in our society.”

His accolades included praise for his steadfast commitment to the APC and being the longest-serving chairman in the state’s history.

“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate Otunba Henry Ajomale on his 80th birthday,” Sanwo-Olu said.

“He is a true democrat and experienced politician who is passionate about good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people.”

Throughout his tenure, Ajomale led the APC to numerous victories during key elections, a testament to his unwavering dedication.

Sanwo-Olu noted Ajomale’s invaluable contributions as a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), emphasizing his disciplined and principled approach to politics.

“His contributions remain invaluable as a member of the Governance Advisory Council,” Sanwo-Olu affirmed.

“Since he joined partisan politics, Otunba Ajomale has remained one of the respected leaders and leading voices in Lagos State politics. His passion for our party and the welfare of the citizens has been exemplary.”

As Ajomale enters the league of octogenarians, Sanwo-Olu expressed hopes for his continued health and service.

“I pray that God will grant him good health to enable him to render more service to humanity, his community, Lagos State, and Nigeria,” he added.
