Samola commissions a newly built Executive block, empowers over 42 beneficiaries
As part of the event commemorating 100 days in office – second term- the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Honourable Samson Folorunso Olatunde has commissioned a newly built Executive block of the Council.
The Chairman, during the commemoration ceremony also empowered over 42 residents of the LCDA.
All these were held at the Council Secretariat, Iworo, Badagry, Lagos, today Tuesday the 23rd of November, 2021.
While delivering the opening remark, leader of the legislative arm of the Council, Hon. Christian Ariwayo expressed sincere appreciation to the Almighty God for making the day come through.
He also stated that the event marking 100 days in office of the Council Mayor is significantly connected to so many peculiarities that will unfold to everyone present with the sequence of the activities of the day.
Hon. Sunny Akinsanya Ajose (OON), APC Deputy Chairman, Lagos State who doubles as the Core leader (APC), Badagry Local Government remarked that Hon. Olatunde has eliminated every doubt in his competence through remarkable performance.
He, however, applauded Hon. Olatunde for delivering such an ecstatic Executive edifice even in the face of unpleasant economic realities.
He further noted that Hon. Olatunde is an exemplary administrator who has proven to be exceptional and outstanding in delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Olorunda LCDA.
He assured every resident in the LCDA of more dividends and prayed the Almighty God continue to guide and order the steps of the Council Mayor, as he continues to work towards meeting the needs of the people.
In a remark delivered by Prince Adio Oluwa, GAC Member and Chairman Lagos West Senatorial District, he expressed his huge satisfaction with Hon. Olatunde’s Sterling performances as the Executive Chairman of the LCDA.
He however noted with contempt that many beneficiaries of empowerment programs do not make use of such advantage to their gains, rather, they resolve to selling such empowerment equipment for selfish gains. He labelled such endeavours as unprogressive.
He appealed that every equipment received at the occasion should be used for empowerment, by all beneficiaries, in deed.
He also appealed to every resident to avoid placing high financial demands on Council Mayors. He noted that Council Chairmen should rather be endeared towards providing dividends that would serve as general benefits.
While delivering his address, the Council Mayor, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde expressed his undiluted and sincere appreciation to the Almighty God for sustaining his life and that of everyone present.
He further expressed his appreciation to every electorate in Olorunda LCDA for granting him the privilege of serving the LCDA in a second term.
He stated that the provision of various dividends of democracy to residents in Olorunda LCDA is borne out of the desire to fulfil promises made during the electioneering process.
He, however, noted that the construction of a new Executive building in the Secretariat is informed by the need to ease official and administrative engagement, enhance executive and administrative performance and promote huge productivity in the course of service.
The event was brought to an end with the presentation of empowerment items to beneficiaries and official commissioning of the Executive building by Prince Adio Rabiu Oluwa.
