S/East PDP salutes Gov. Ugwuanyi at 57

The Zonal Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, South East Zone, on Saturday congratulated Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state and a leader of PDP in the South East on his 57 years birthday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ugwuanyi clocked exactly 57 years on March 20.

Chief Ali Odefa, PDP Vice Chairman, South East, sent the message in a statement to NAN through Mr Augustine Okeke, PDP Zonal Publicly Secretary, South East, in Abuja.

Odefa commended the governor for his thoughtful leadership and great vision which had not only sustained the party but also given it giant leaps in the South East.

He ascribed the peaceful PDP South East zonal congress to one of his greatest achievements as a leader.

“We are pleased to mark this special day with you as your leadership in the zone has been of inspiration, leading to hallmark achievements including harmonious relationship existing among the stakeholders in the zone.

“Through your thoughtful leadership, great vision and benevolence, the Zonal Executive Committee of PDP in the South East zone has continued to steer the affairs of our party effectively.

“It led to the recently concluded PDP south East zonal congress widely acclaimed as very peaceful,” he said.

The PDP Vice Chairman, who reiterated the satisfaction of the party with Gov Ugwuanyi’s leadership, described him as an innovative leader.

He said the the party was satisfied with other accomplishments of the governor in infrastructure, security and rural development which had improved the lives of Enugu residents.

Odeifa said that his birthday was a better time for the party to show appreciation for his qualitative and innovative leadership of the PDP in South East.
