Rural development: Ogun govt sinks boreholes for two communities

The Ogun State Government will continue to embark on projects that will make living more meaningful to people of the State, regardless of their location.

Commissioner for Rural Development, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun who stated this while inspecting borehole facilities provided for the Originrin Ajagbe in Iperu and Akaka Lusedo Communities both in Ogun east senatorial district of the State, pointed out that the project would be of quality standard.

Engr. Oludotun, represented by the Director of Rural Water, Mr. Ayo Ogundimu, noted that the boreholes were provided along with generating sets, reiterating government’s determination to provide basic social amenities, towards making life better for the residents of rural areas.

The Commissioner stated that the project would also reduce rural-urban migration and avert water borne diseases in rural communities, appreciating Governor Dapo Abiodun for his approval to execute the project. He urged the beneficiaries to sensitise their people to make proper use of the borehole. Responding on behalf of the benefitting communities, Chief Nosiru Oguntuyo, Mrs. Omolola Adebayo, Dr. Rev. Juwon Adesanya and Chief Muyiwa Sobambo commended the management of the Ministry for responding to their plights, promising to make judicious use of the project.
