Ronaldo, Hazard help me to grow – Nigerian winger, Samuel Kalu
New Watford signing, Samuel Kalu has revealed that Manchester United’s Christiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard helped him to grow as a professional football player.
Kalu said this after completing his move to Watford from French Ligue1 side, Bordeaux, on Wednesday.
The Nigerian winger said he admires Ronaldo and Hazard a lot, adding that he likes watching them in action.
Kalu, who was unveiled on Wednesday evening, told Watford’s official website: “I’m the kind of player that plays like Eden Hazard, I admire him a lot. I also watch Christiano Ronaldo.
“These two players I watch a lot, they help me grow as a professional football player.”
“I know [Emmanuel] Dennis very well, and [William] Troost-Ekong, we played together at Gent. I also know [Peter] Etebo. We have played together in the national team.”
“They will help me a lot. I saw Dennis and Etebo and they were very happy to see me. I know they are going to help me settle at the club,” the 24-year-old added.
