By Dave Okpogadie, Asaba

Daredevil armed robbers yesterday attacked a Bullion Van belonging to a yet to be disclosed bank.

It was gathered that the Bullion Van was attacked along Otor-Owhe on the Ughelli-Asaba dual carriage way in Isoko north local government area of Delta State.

It could not be ascertained the bank the Bullion Van was heading to when the hoodlums waylaid it.

The robbers shot sporadically at the Bullion Van as the bullet bore hole on the windscreen of the Bullion Van.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, remarked that the robbers did not cart away any money from the bullion van as the bullion van was empty at the time.

He added that the robbers fled, some of them with bullet wounds after exchange of fire with policemen, adding that the police had spread its drag net to make sure the fleeing robbers are caught.
