The Rivers State High Court will commence its annual vacation on August 1, 2023.
This was disclosed by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi, in a statement by the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, David Ihua Maduenyi.
Maduenyi said the vacation is pursuant to order 49, rule 4 of the State High Court, stating that all judicial divisions of the High Court will remain closed during the vacation.
The statement also noted that normal court sittings will resume on Thursday, 28th of September, 2023.
The Chief Registrar assured that urgent matters filed during the vacation will be entertained by any of the vacation judges to be appointed by the Chief Judge.
