Rev. Alia’s Administration did not launch any security outfit in Benue — Deputy Gov
The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Barrister Sam Ode has debunked in its entirety the media reports credited to the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the Benue State Government under the watch of the Executive Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has launched a security outfit belonging to a terrorist in the state.
Barr. Ode, also described the reports as false and baseless fashioned by the opposition party PDP with the sole aim of demeaning the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the overwhelming victory Benue People gave to the party in the 2023 general elections.
The Deputy Governor dismissed the story trending round the state and beyond while briefing Journalists in his office.on Friday, urged the good people of the state to ignore the plot by mischievous elements of the opposition to drag Rev. Fr. Alia led administration into a non – existing controversy.
According to the Deputy Governor, no Fulani security outfit was launch in the state and the government of the state at no time approved the launch of any suck my security outfit.
The number two citizen of the state further explained that he did not in authorized anyone to represent him or the state government at any Fulani security summit or commissioning of outfit.
Barr. Ode assured the good people of the state that the APC led administration in the state under the leadership of Fr. Alia will do everything humanly possible to leave up to his obligation by protecting the lives and property of the citizens as manifested in his serious collaboration with the conventional security agencies to ensure the return of IDPs to their ancestral homes.
