Rep donates relief materials to victims of attacks in Kaduna

REP. Amos Magaji (PDP-Kaduna), has donated relief materials to victims of attacks in Warkan and Runji villages in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

Magaji, representing Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency of the state, presented the items separately to the victims on Tuesday in Zagon Kataf.

The lawmaker, who described the recent attacks that led to lost of lives and property in the area as ”unfortunate”, called on goverment and security agencies to intensify efforts toward tackling the menace.

”We are here to first commiserate with you all over the recent attacks in your communities.

”We are also here to present some items that you can use to cushion your current harship.

”But I want to urge you all not to embark on any form of reprisal attacks but forgive the perpetrators of the heinous acts.

”Though you lost your loved ones and properties in the attacks, retaliation is not the best option,”he advised.

He, thereafter, advised the people to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to appropriate authorities.

Receiving the items separately unbehalf of the victims, the District Head of Gora, Mr Elias Usman, and his Runji counterpart, Mr Awan Bamaiyi, thanked the lawmaker for gesture and urged him to do more toward ameliorating the sufferings of the victims.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some of the items donated include roofing materials, mattresses, clothes, blankets and mosquito nets, among others
