Reasons Ago Iwoye, Oru, Awa, Ilaporu must vote massively for Dapo Abiodun on Saturday – Segun Kaka

Prince Segun Kaka, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ijebu North State constituency II in forthcoming governoship elections has disclosed that the people of Ago Iwoye and other adjoining towns, Oru, Awa and Ilaporu making up the Ifelodun constituency must file out enmass to reward Gov Dapo Abiodun with massive votes on Saturday.

Kaka said that Gov Abiodun having ensured that Ifelodun constituency was not left behind in the new wave of good governance sweeping across the state deserves massive votes from the area for another term

Prince Segun Kaka explained that there is no denying the fact that governance under Gov Dapo Abiodun has taken a new dimension in the last three and half years with no part of the state being developed at the expense of another.

In a statement made available to journalists at Abeokuta on Tuesday, the Ijebu North State Constituency II legislator hopeful disclosed that, the coming on board of Gov Abiodun has brought great relief to the residents of Ago Iwoye and its environs through several intervention and developmental projects spanning road construction, rehabilitation of schools, Ibipe health centre among others.

Kaka said that of greater importance to expanding the frontiers of the socio-economic development of this axis of the state was the construction of the long abandoned Ago Iwoye-Ilisan roads by Gov Abiodun.

He said this singular project had since redefine the economy of this area with people now having to access Ago Iwoye and other adjoining towns with ease.

The Obafemi Awolowo University trained engineer explained that “prior to the construction of this long abandoned Ago Iwoye road, a journey that ought to be done with under 25 minutes takes about one and half hours as people will have to go through Ijebu-Ode and then heads towards Oru before joining Ago Iwoye, but this has become history now, is this not fantastic?”

Kaka said “there is no disputing the fact that Gov Dapo Abiodun has been very good to us in Ago Iwoye and other adjoining towns like Oru, Awa and Ilaporu that we call Ifelodun constituency. For instance, take a look at the completed Ilisan-Ago Iwoye road that had been abandoned for over 10 years. The governor went as far as settling over N4bn law suit on this road project to get it done. Now the road has opened up the economy of this axis and everyone is happy.

“The governor has also done the 2km Igan road, that project is a world-class standard with covered drainage and culverts. There’s also this road from Oru to Mamu that the governor has done likewise rehabilitation of schools and health centres among others.

“The people are quite appreciative of the favourable disposition of Gov Abiodun to seeing to the yearnings of the people at the grassroots. Irrespective of whatever crude attitude anybody may be exhibiting against the governor.

He said another reason why the people of Ifelodun must not fail to return Gov Abiodun for another term is to ensure that the constituency and the state at large is in the mainstream of national politics and not opposition which will further make the people to lose from benefitting from favourable disposition of the federal government.

Kaka said “now that we have our President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from our great party and in our state, all our members of the National Assembly, three Senators and nine House of Representatives members are from our party too. So what remain to complete this assignment is to elect Gov Abiodun for another term as well as all the candidates for the House of Assembly.

“This will make us to be in the mainstream and of course enjoy support of the federal government. So, this Saturday, let us come out in our thousands and show our gratitude to Gov Abiodun by voting him for another term and of course, voting for me too to represent you at the Ogun State House of Assembly. I promise you qualitative representation, one that you have never experienced in recent years”.
