Queues reduce as residents buy fuel at 185/Litre in Abuja

Queues have reduced in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) as residents now buy Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as fuel at 185/Litre.

Our correspondent who went round to monitor the situation gathered that A.A Rano, Shema, A.Y.M Shafa, NNPC, AFDIN filling stations along Kubwa Express Way now dispense fuel to motorists without queue.

According to Musa Abdullahi, a motorists in Abuja said, “Starting from on Sunday, I noticed the usual long queues have reduced in most filling stations. However, I bought it on Monday at AA Rano for 185/Litre,” he said.

Recall that there have been reoccurring fuel scarcity across major cities in Nigeria.

Earlier on Sunday, Group Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC), said that fuel queues in Abuja, Lagos to end in three days.

The oil boss also disclosed that NNPC is fully aware that there are issues with pricing and expects prices to normalise for the Nigerian consumer.

Kyari said, “First of all, there are issues around supply disruptions, this we are overcoming it, we have resolved them, and in the next 3 to 4 days, people will see relief and it ( fuel queues) will vanish.

“As we all know, there are no fuel queues in most parts of the country except Lagos and Abuja and we understand the real logistics issues and I am confident within the next 2-3 days this will vanish,”  he stated.
