PSG: Galtier under fire over alleged comment against blacks, Muslims

PSG manager Christophe Galtier is in trouble after his alleged racist and Islamophobic remarks were leaked to the media.

Former OGC Nice Director of Football, Julien Fournier, in an email, made serious allegations against the Paris Saint-Germain boss, and the very email was disclosed by journalists Romain Molina and Daniel Riolo on Tuesday.

The email was sent by Fournier to INEOS (the company that owns Nice) director Dave Brailsford.

The email exposes racist and Islamophobic remarks Galtier made during his time as Nice manager, according to Sportskeeda.

Fournier, in the email to Brailsford, explained that the manager expressed his discontent at having many black and Muslim players on the team.

“He (Christophe Galtier) told me that I had to take into account the ‘reality of the city’ and that we couldn’t have so many blacks and Muslims in the team,” the email said in part.

Galtier had further explained in the email that people in the city of Nice were worried that the team was being taken over by black and Muslim players despite being the city of a former mayor, Jacques Medecin, insisting that the team does not reflect what people want, “just as it does not reflect myself’.”

Football fans have since taken to social media to condemn the Frenchman’s racist and Islamophobic comments.
