Provoking the force of faith through revelation!

Welcome to another exciting week! I hope you were blessed by last week teaching. This week, we shall focus on: Provoking the Force of Faith through Revelation!

We discover from Scriptures that faith is very vital to our walk as Christians. This is because Christianity is absolutely worthless without it, as it is the principal instrument for doing exploits in the Kingdom. It is written, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:1-3).

Furthermore, faith is also an expression of our confidence in God and His Word. Principally, it is an act motivated by the Word of God. That is, it is a living force, drawn from the living Word, to produce living proofs. Faith works hand-in-hand with the Word of God, which is the force that propels it to produce tangible results (Matthew 9:22). Thus, Word-provoked faith is the master key to a world of exploits.  However, it is not just the Word, but the revelation of the truth from God’s Word. That is why it is one thing to read the Word and another to see it. As we all know, it is impossible to doubt what we see. This is where the revelation of the truth of God’s Word comes in.

But, What Is Revelation?

Revelation of the truth from God’s Word is the greatest asset in the school of faith. It is a potent force that provokes supernatural faith. Just as healing is impossible without faith; so also is faith impossible without the revelation of God’s Word. This is also why we can’t flow in faith except we flow in the revelation of the truth from the Bible.  By revelation, we mean the ability to see what God is saying from His Word. Besides, we can become anything we want to be in the Word, but we must first see it to become it. Do you want to be prosperous? See it from the revealed truth of God’s Word! Do you want to live a sickness-free life? Then, you must see it from the Word of God? For instance, in 1979, I saw a sickness-free life from my Bible, that Jesus …Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses (Matthew 8:17). Since then, I have been living a healthy life. This may sound simple, but it is powerful and unbeatable. Therefore, we shouldn’t allow the devil confuse us regarding the simplicity of the gospel. If we do, we will miss out on the manifestations of the revealed truth in God’s Word.

I want us to recognise that in the school of faith; only what we see automatically becomes ours. This is because what we see we don’t struggle to believe and when we believe, God is committed to deliver. Even Thomas, when he saw the Lord Jesus, believed that He had truly resurrected. But Jesus said to him, …Because you have seen me, you have believed (John 20:29). This further goes to establish that it takes our believing in God to enjoy His blessings; and we can’t believe God except we see Him through His Word and we can’t see Him except He is revealed to us.

So, revelation is the determining factor in the world of the miraculous. No wonder the enemy is after the eyes of our spirit, to see what way he can keep them blinded. Scripture says, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4). Generally, someone whose mind is blind cannot see healing; even when you tell him, ‘Jesus took your infirmity’, he will tell you, ‘I have heard that long enough’. That is what happens to anyone who can’t see the Word of God because his mind has been blinded by the gods of this world.

What, Then, Are The Sources Of Revelation?

The Holy Spirit: When we study the Word of God, the Holy Spirit helps us to understand. He teaches us, opens our eyes and communicates the truth to us.

Holy Communion: Revelation comes when the Holy Communion opens our eyes. Remember, Jesus gave His disciples the Communion and their eyes were opened.  What the Communion does is to remove the scales in our eyes that won’t let us see the promises of God.

Through Word Study: One of the ways revelation comes is through the study of the Word of God. When we sit down with the Word of God in thorough study, we are sure of an opened eye.

For instance, I knew the day I stepped out of any trap of lack and want from the revelation of Scriptures. Through the study of God’s Word, my understanding opened up, my spirit man caught fresh fire, my spiritual insight blossomed and I screamed, ‘I can never be poor!’ Through that revelation, God did not only deliver me from the harassment of poverty but has made me an instrument for the deliverance of multitudes.

In summary, you cannot benefit from the above teaching, unless you are truly saved. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour.

Thank You, Jesus, for saving me! Now, I know I am born again! For further reading, please get my books: Unlimited Power of Faith, Exploits of Faith, Born to Win and Satan get Lost.
