Protesters in Ibadan ignore Nigerian police presence
On Wednesday, the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, resumed their 10-day nationwide demonstration against hunger, hardship, and perceived poor governance in Nigeria.
The protesters peacefully blocked Agbowo Road in the state capital despite a strong police presence.
Even with the arrival of the Oyo State Police Commissioner and his team, the demonstrators pledged to remain on Agbowo Road, steadfast in their pursuit of complete liberation.
They assured the police commissioner that they would keep the protests peaceful and promised to report any infiltrators attempting to incite violence to the authorities.
Since August 1, Nigerians across the country have been protesting against hunger, economic difficulties, and poor governance under President Bola Tinubu.
