Presidential election: What Obidients did for Peter Obi should be respected – Omokri
Reno Omokri, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said that what the Obidients, supporters of Peter Obi, did for the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate during the February 25 Presidential election should be respected.
Omokri, a former media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, also hailed the Obidients for their efforts in galvanizing a movement that gave Obi over six million votes during the Presidential election.
In an interview with Arise News on Sunday, Omokri said if the Obidients had joined with the PDP and if Obi had not left the party, they would have won the Presidential election even with rigging.
“If the Obidients had joined with the PDP, if Peter Obi had not left the PDP, we would have won the election even with rigging hands down,” Omokri said.
“In eight months, he was able to galvanize a movement that gave him over 6 million votes. What the Obidients did for Peter Obi should be respected.”
