Prayer: The livewire of every growing church!

Welcome to another exciting week! I hope you were blessed by last week’s teaching. This week, we shall focus on Prayer: The Livewire of Every Growing Church!

We disco vered from Scrip-tures that every praying church is a growing church and every church that must keep growing must keep praying. Where prayer stops, is where growth stops. Paul said, Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us(1 Thessalonians 2:18). Also, it is clear that we cannot take any territory for Christ without the ministry of the Holy Ghost. Thus, we must pray to engage the Holy Ghost across our territory so we can take it (Luke 24:49).

Without the Holy Ghost, we are limited and we cannot engage the Holy Ghost except through the altar of prayer. When Jesus taught about prayers, the first thing He said was, If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him (Luke 11:13).

Prayer among other things engages the Holy Ghost on any subject of interest. Particularly, we cannot take territory or see anybody saved without the Holy Ghost. It is written, And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment(John 16:8).

That is His ministry and we cannot get Him to work without prayers.

He is the Lord of the harvest; we cannot reap any harvest without Him(Matthew 9:38). He is the one that makes us a sharp thrashing instrument, having teeth(Isaiah 41:15).

The apostles were praying daily and God was adding to the church daily (Acts 2:46-47). So, by praying daily, we are praying the Holy Ghost; who convicts sinners and bring them to the point of repentance and conversion.

The devil’s mission is to blind the minds of the unsaved. As it is written, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4).

However, as we pray, we shatter those blindfolding forces and then sinners are released into the Kingdom. These are not fables, they are the truth to engage with to see the continuous growth of any church. Never forget to pray down the Holy Ghost when praying for church growth.

Also, we recognise that reaper angels are usually deployed on demand through the altar of prayers. The Bible says, Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels (Matthew 26:53). We pray the Father to deploy the angels and among the angelic divisions are the reaper angels. Scripture says, The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels(Matthew 13:39). The end of the world, which is the last days, is the harvest and angels are the reapers. The explosive flow of the end time church will be brought about by the dynamic ministries of the reaper angels(Isaiah 2:2). So, we engage their ministry and demand their deployment on the altar of prayer. It is a mystery; there are many in our church that nobody called, the prayers we prayed brought them into church.

In summary, a non-praying church will remain a struggling church and a non-praying believer will remain a struggling believer. Thus, we must make demand for them on the prayer altar. The Bible says, Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children (Isaiah 66:7-8; see also Revelation 14:14, 16). Therefore, let’s engage the reaper angels, they can get the job done in one day. However, before you can have the access to demand for them, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I know I am born again!
