Pray for peace, observe COVID-19 safety protocols — APC chieftain charges Muslims in Ekiti

The Chairman, Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency (EKSEMA), Captain Sunday Adebomi has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
The Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who gave this admonition while speaking with Nigerian NewsDirect at Ise-Ekiti, his country-home enjoined Muslims to celebrate the festival in full compliant with all flooding and COVID-19 safety protocols.
He admonished muslims to use this special occasion to renew their commitment to peace and unity of the country and to also extend their hands of love to others around them.
Adebomi, APC governorship aspirant in the 2018 poll, charged them to always keep their environment clean, use face masks and wash their hands regularly.
“On behalf of my family and the entire members of SEMA, I want to congratulate muslims in Nigeria, particular Ekiti Muslims on the occasion of the 2021 Eid-El-Kabir festival.
“Our country needs more prayers now than ever before to confront the daunting security challenges quaking the very existence of the nation. I am of the strong belief that with prayers from committed religion adherents, the evil forces shall be defeated.
“While thanking God Almighty for sparing our lives to witness another edition of the annual festival, I want to implore you observe all COVID-19 safety protocols as we are all aware of the presence of the deadly Delta variant in Nigeria.
“We must also keep our surrounding clean and avoid throwing dirts inside the gutters. We are at the peak of raining season and we are beginning to live with the reports of deadly effect of flooding across Nigeria.”
Adebomi a retired Captain in the United State of America(USA) military, however used the occasion to appeal to APC members to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner before, during and after the forthcoming congresses of the party.
The APC man sought support for the Governor Kayode Fayemi’s administration in Ekiti, stressing that the governor’s impressive performance was been acknowledged across the land with the recent conferrment of Governor of The Year on him by Vanguard Newspapers.
