By Abimbola Abatta, Osogbo

Publisher and Managing Director, Nigerian NewsDirect, Dr Samuel Ibiyemi, has tasked Muslims in Nigeria to pray for the nation’s development and harmony.

The publisher said the above in a goodwill statement released on Tuesday as Muslims across the world commemorated the occasion of the Maulud Nabbiy, the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Dr Ibiyemi further enjoined the Muslim faithful to pray for lasting solutions to Nigeria’s security challenges, which according to him, are threatening the nation’s peace.

While felicitating with the Muslims, he charged them to emulate the sterling virtues of Prophet Muhammad, urging them to spread messages of hope, peace, love, tolerance in their day-to-day activities.

Ibiyemi also called on religious leaders to promote peace and stability in the society by thwarting every form of religious bigotry among adherents.
