Popular Comedian ‘Baba ijesha’ in Police net for alleged sexual assault of  minor

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Olarenwaju James  aka Baba Ijesha, a  popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.

The 48-year-old  Ace comedian was said to have been arrested following a former report made on Monday by  one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police station.

In a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Hakeem Odumosu, said  the Police is armed with ample evidence and the  suspect had confessed to the crime.

The Police said, “Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was 7 year old.

“The suspect  had confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant.

“He has since been transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.

Odumosu, promised that justice will be served as appropriate in the matter.
