Police seek public assistance in locating alleged homosexual fugitive
The Nigerian Police have issued a public appeal for information on the whereabouts of Igbasanmi Mopenre-Abosede Deborah, who is suspected of fleeing the country following allegations of homosexual activities.
The police declared Deborah wanted after a report was filed, including photographic evidence, indicating that she and her partner, Damilola, were involved in same-sex activities on February 28, 2024.
A police source, who requested anonymity, confirmed that Damilola, her partner, is also on the run. The police have pledged to deploy all available resources to apprehend both suspects. The authorities emphasise that this action is part of a broader effort to enforce Nigeria’s laws and serve as a deterrent to others.
The police have urged anyone with information about Deborah’s or Damilola’s whereabouts to come forward, stressing that cooperation from the public is crucial in ensuring justice.
