Police nab 3 suspects in connection with the stabbing of a man over an electric scooter
Tel Aviv police have arrested three young men in connection with the stabbing of a man earlier this week in a dispute over an electric scooter, a police spokesperson announced.
The suspects include two 18-year-olds from Elad and a 16-year-old minor from central Israel.
Following questioning at the central Tel Aviv police station, the suspects were brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court for a detention hearing.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, just after midnight, on Rothschild Street. The victim had exited a bar and was attempting to rent an electric scooter when the altercation occurred.
Security footage from a nearby café captured the attack. The video shows four young men approaching and cornering the victim near the scooter rack. One of the assailants stabbed the man in the leg before fleeing with the others.
Police are still searching for a fourth suspect involved in the incident
“The investigation remains ongoing,” the spokesperson told The Times of Israel.
The victim’s condition following the stabbing has not been disclosed.
