The Katsina State Police Command on Thursday said its anti-kidnapping squad killed two terrorists while intercepting a notorious gang of kidnappers on the command’s wanted list,
A businessman was also rescued during the operation.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Isah Gambo who disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists on Thursday, did not reveal the name of the affected businessman.
He, however, explained that nemesis caught up with the suspects while on their way to kidnap the undisclosed businessman.
Items recovered during a search of the scene include two AK47 rifles and the corpse of one Samaila Shehu, a notorious suspected terrorist from Tsaunin Kura village in Malumfashi LGA of the state.
Samaila Shehu was said to have been arrested in the year 2020 for his involvement in the attack at GSS Malumfashi Staff Quarters and was charged to court way back.
