Police kill two kidnappers, rescue 10 victims in Bauchi
The Bauchi State Police Command says it has killed two suspected kidnappers and rescued 10 victims during an operation carried out in Ningi Local Government Area.
Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa Muhammad disclosed this at a press briefing held at the police headquarters along Yandoka Road on Tuesday.
News recalls that there have been incessant kidnappings in Ningi LGA, targeted at peasant farmers who are now afraid of going to their farms.
The CP said the rescue operations were carried out in collaboration with hunters
“In one of the successful operations carried out between July 17 and 20, the operatives rescued 10 victims of kidnapping unhurt and reunited them with their families.
“Similarly, the operatives attacked the hoodlums and neutralised two of the armed kidnappers and arrested one other, while the remaining terrorists were subdued during a gun duel with our team,” he stated.
