On Wednesday, the Kano State Police Command announced a major breakthrough in its crime-fighting efforts, having arrested 41 suspects and recovered dangerous weapons. The arrests followed a series of raids on criminal hideouts and hotspots within Kano metropolis. Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo Garba led these operations in line with Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s directives for continuous patrols.
In a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the command credited the success to intelligence-led policing under Garba’s leadership.
“The reduction in crime rates is a direct result of public support,” Garba stated. “This achievement highlights our dedication to the safety and security of Kano’s residents. We are committed to protecting lives and property.”
The command urged the public to continue cooperating by providing timely and accurate information to aid in combating criminal activities. For emergencies, residents are encouraged to call the dedicated lines: 08032419754, 08123821575, or 09029292926.
