Police deploy AIG Yaro to Rivers
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13 in Awka, the Anambra State capital, AIG Abutu Yaro has been redeployed to Rivers State for the general elections.
This was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Public Relations officer of the Rivers State Police command Grace Iringe-Koko, who revealed that AIG Yaro will supervise four Commissioners of Police deployed to Rivers State for the 2023 General Elections.
According to the State Police Command, the Commissioners of Police to be supervised by the AIG are: CP Yomi Olanrewaju, CP Samuel Musa, CP Lanre Sikiru and CP Aderemi Adeoye.
The statement also disclosed that the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Okon Effiong has been redeployed for election duty to Enugu State.
While the mobile phone of AIG Yaro has been made available (08037233584), the Command assured that the contacts of the Commissioners of Police will be made available in due course.
The state Police Command further urged the people of Rivers to come out en masse to exercise their franchise and vote for candidates of their choice, as adequate deployments have been made to ensure that elections are peaceful, free, fair, and credible.
