Police declare woman wanted for lesbianism after failed arrest attempts

The Nigerian Police have declared Loveth wanted after she was caught in a suspected act of lesbianism by a police officer on July 2, 2023. 

Despite several attempts to apprehend her, all efforts to arrest Loveth have proven unsuccessful, leading to a nationwide manhunt.

The police statement, issued on December 25, 2023, emphasises that the search for Loveth is now a priority for law enforcement, and she has been placed on the wanted list. 

The Nigerian government is offering a substantial reward to anyone who provides credible information that leads to her capture.

Authorities have been tight-lipped about further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident but made it clear that Loveth’s evasion of arrest has prompted increased efforts to locate her. 

The police have assured the public that all information provided will be treated confidentially, with an emphasis on swift action.
