Police declare two men wanted for homosexual activities

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has declared two men wanted for engaging in homosexuality, which is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by up to 14 years imprisonment.

According to a statement issued by the police, the men, identified as Alebiosu Taye and Oyedele Joseph Olalekan, were reportedly caught in the act by members of their community. They fled the scene before authorities could intervene.

The police confirmed that a thorough investigation into the incident had been conducted, and the allegations were found to be true. Despite efforts to apprehend the suspects, both men managed to escape, and the police are now seeking the public’s assistance in locating them.

“We have carried out a thorough investigation into this criminal act and found it to be true. Sadly, the suspects escaped during attempts to apprehend them. Anyone with useful information about their whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station, as our efforts to arrest and prosecute them have so far been unsuccessful,” the statement read.
