Police declare Ojogiwa Ololade Sulaimon wanted in criminal investigation

The Nigeria Police Force has declared Mr. Ojogiwa Ololade Sulaimon, born on March 4, 1983, wanted in connection with a criminal investigation under the Federal Same Sex (Prohibition) Act 2023. Mr. Sulaimon allegedly escaped arrest in September 2024, following a tip-off from a whistleblower about suspected activities of a social group believed to be involved in same-sex activities, an act prohibited by Nigerian law.

During the raid conducted by officers attached to the Owutu Divisional Police Force, Ikorodu, Lagos, several members of the group were apprehended both at the scene and at their homes and workplaces. However, Mr. Sulaimon, who resides at 28 Inabere Street, Lagos Island, Lagos, evaded capture and remains at large.

The police have obtained a warrant authorising his arrest at any location, including his home and workplace. Despite multiple visits by officers to his known addresses, Mr. Sulaimon has yet to be found.

The Nigeria Police Force is appealing to the public for any information on Mr. Sulaimon’s whereabouts. itizens are urged to report sightings or provide relevant details to the nearest police station to aid in the swift administration of justice.
