Police declare men wanted for homosexuality

The authority of the Nigeria Police Force has declared two men wanted for allegedly practicing homosexuality.

Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.

According to the Police, the men include Rasak Akin Aliu and Segun.

They suspects were allegedly caught practicing homeseuality by the people of the community on Thursday, 1st September 2022 .

They however fled the scene of the incident and members of the public are by this information informed to report their whereabouts.

“We have carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act and we found it to be true. Sadly in an attempt to apprehend them, they escaped.

“Anyone with any useful information about their whereabout should kindly contact the nearest police station as various attempts to arrest and prosecute them have proven abortive,” the Police statement read.
