Police declare man wanted for homosexuality

The authority of the Nigeria Police Force has declared Oyewole Nofiu Oyekunle wanted for allegedly practicing homosexuality.

Homosexuality is an attraction between people who are of the same sex. It is illegal in Nigeria and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.

According to the police public relations officer, Oyewole Nofiu Oyekunle was caught with some homosexual members practicing homosexuality by the people of the community on September 25th 2020.

He however fled the scene of the incident and members of the public are by this information to report their whereabouts.

“We have carried out a thorough investigation on this criminal act and we found it to be true.

“Sadly in an attempt to apprehend them, Oyewole Nofiu Oyekunle escaped.

“Anyone with any useful information about his whereabouts should kindly contact the nearest police station as various attempts to arrest and prosecute him have proven abortive,” the statement said
