Police arrest two for stealing vehicle parts in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has detained Jefferson Joshua and Donatus Okoro, who are accused of breaking into a community, vandalizing vehicles, and stealing parts, including the brain box.

According to a police source, the suspects committed the theft around 3 am on July 30 and were arrested on August 8, 2024. Following reports of the incident, the suspects were tracked down to Ileiwe Junction in Ikotun and Idowu Street in Ajegunle.

Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the arrests and reported that the suspects have admitted to the crime. The police recovered a red Toyota vehicle with the license plate FKL 260 JJ, a police beret, and a handcuff from the suspects. Hundeyin noted that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the criminal group.
