Police arrest cattle rustler in Turakawa village, Kafin Hausa LG

The jigawa state police command has arrested one Adamu Baushe, 40, of Turakawa village in Kafin Hausa LGA.

Prior to his arrest, the police noticed the suspect was wandering around at about 11:00hrs, in possession of nine (9)  sheep  reasonably suspected to be stolen from different villages in Kafin Hausa area.

The arrest was made, following series of complaints of missing sheep  and some properties received by the division.

The case has already been  charged to the Magistrate Court in Kafin Hausa for prosecution.

In another development, on the 8th of September, at about 18:00hrs, it was hinted that a yellow bus, with reg no. XC 731 HJA was sighted inside a thick forest of Gofawa village, Sule Tankarkar LGA.

On receipt of the information,  detectives mobilized and rushed to the scene of the crime. And on sighting the policemen, the suspects took to their heels.

In the the course of their pursuit, two suspects were successfully nabbed; one Jamilu Alasan, 25, and Babangida Abdullahi, 35, all of Buruma village, Gabasawa LGA of Kano State.The remaining four unidentified suspects are still at large.

The said vehicle, containing two (2) cows was also recovered. The cows were later identified by the rightful owner.

The command has promised to gear up efforts to arrest the fleeing culprits.

The Police Public Relations Officer  DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam,has confirmed the story.
