Police arrest 24-year-old with locally made pistol, hard drug in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old, Favour Eze, for being in possession of one locally made pistol and hard drug suspected to be Loud.

The items were concealed in a bag of clothes.

The suspect was travelling from Asaba to Warri with other passengers in a red commercial Toyota Sienna space van when he was arrested by Police operatives who were conducting a stop and search along Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale Road.

The Police intercepted the vehicle conveying the passengers on 8/05/2024 at about 1630hrs.

Delta State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development in a statement signed and made available to journalists.

He said, “The suspect was arrested alongside the exhibits.”

According to Edafe, “Upon search of the vehicle and occupants, one Favour Eze, a 24-year-old male native of Amasiri Village in Afikpo L.G.A, Ebonyi State, was arrested in possession of one locally made pistol, hard drug suspected to be Loud, and human hair, all concealed in a bag of cloths.

“The suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing.”
